Welcome to United Aegis
United Aegis, sometimes called just 'The Aegis' is a neutral Azerotarian organization. As an operational Non-Governmental Organization, we are best known for our projects in conflict zones and areas beset by contention or contagion, regardless of 'faction' lines. Our personnel come from all over Azeroth (and beyond), filling their chosen roles as medics, security personnel, tactics and logistics experts, engineers, tradespersons and researchers. Our chevron symbol has become a symbol of hope for those left in the wake of war or catastrophe year after year, as medical care, provisioning, and diplomacy are only some of our responsibilities to the people of Azeroth. To that end, our organization emphasizes our independence and impartiality, and does not factor political, economical or religious elements into our decision making. Our funding is always carefully monitored, ensuring we remain free from influence.

Organizational History
Prior to it's founding as United Aegis after The War of Thorns, the organization was known as Aegis Academy; founded by Kee Marlfox and Zael as an educational center focused on providing survival and career training to a larger audience in the wake of the Legion's defeat. However, the vision failed to take off and reach the membership minimums for accreditation.
Year One: In the wake of the War of Thorns, it became clear there was a gap in the aid systems available on Azeroth. While the armies of both factions prepared for counter offensives and shored up their defenses, countless citizens were left in the direct path of destruction, or made homeless by the loss of Teldrassil, and later, Undercity. The Argent Crusade had their hands full assisting both factions in the fight against Queen Azshara and N'zoth.Aegis Academy became United Aegis, a bulwark of beings from all walks of life, extending a helping hand to fellow Azerothians to rebuild and recover; settling refugees, assisting in supply drops to remote outposts, and protecting Azerite caravans from those who might seek to misuse the Blood of the World for gain or ill.
Security contracts and escort missions took up the bulk of the group's energy, markets allowing the meeker members a chance to gain some confidence, and hone and sell their crafts and wares.Year Two: In the short period of rest attained after the factions defeated N'zoth, United Aegis assisted in the formation of the World's Faire Carnival, a reminder of what great things can be done when we all work together.
Year Three & Four: Refugee efforts remain ongoing, though as the scars of war faded, and greater threats again threw the innocent of Azeroth into danger, Aegis began shoring up defenses against the Scourge threat.Cleansing disease, escorting civilians from danger, and rebuilding in the wake of destruction became a daily routine. While some crossed the Veil to aid the Shadowlands, countless others remained behind on Azeroth to clean up and protect the homefront. As peace finally settled on Azeroth, the organization enjoyed a three year break. Families and businesses flourished, markets prospered, and the group continued to uphold the same standard of care and protection offered to all.
Year Eight: The reawakening of the Dragon Isles saw United Aegis once again setting out to offer their aid and support to the citizens of this new land. The Dragonscale Expedition, The Tuskarr of The Waking Shores and Iskaara, and the Centaur all requested aid from any who could answer the call, and United Aegis did so with enthusiasm.Defeating Djaradin, befriending elementals, saving stranded Centaur foals, repelling Primalists, and eventually, facing down an old foe; the Void. Those who could enter the Dream shut down Primalist efforts to destroy the budding World Tree, scouting, planning, and putting their ideas into motion to take down a portal into the Firelands.Four scouts lost their lives on the Dragon Isles, and their names shall ever be remembered.

Technologies
The Kyberite Interface Network - Inclusive Communications system, or KINetIC devices, are the main form of long-distance communication for the organization.Created by Kybervath and Hazeli in Y8 UAC, these magically attuned 'sending stones' are a high-tech updated version of the old 'amber comms' of previous years.
Functioning off a network inspired by the communications pylons of Dracthyr past, they allow the group to communicate over vast distances at-will, sharing information via voice, imagery and text nearly instantaneously.
